I met some good friends through them.

I have nothing to regret, video games have provided me with hours of entertainment and other aspects that movies and books can't always provide.
I prefer video games above most things anyway, movies these days are very dull and it's hard to find a fictional book that's interesting.

I regret ever getting a PS1 for Christmas in 1996.
Spent the next 10 year being an asocial shut in who thought he was getting something accomplished with these massive time wasters. I regret it for sure. Now I'm 29, chasing after a worthless degree in college, have no friends, suffer from major clinical depression.
Video games ruined my life. Don't become like me /v/.
I've learned English through them.
I'd love to be able to have some sort of insight into alternate reality where I didn't grow up with vidya. I really can't imagine it.

Persona 4 and some other story-driven games (a lot of weebshit, too) helped me develop my normie-friendlypersonathat I put on whenever I'm at school or work, which has really helped me make connections and good acquaintances;.Now I get invited to normie shit, which I don't usually go to, but enjoy having the option of. It's good for my self-esteem.
They've made me more sociable overall, which I think is very strange. My friends are all into games, too, which is nice, since we all make recommendations for each other. Without video games, I wouldn't have a hobby either, which would just be a sad life, really.

I still don't get how I managed to play Civilization II without having a grasp in English, but I remember it was fun.

Definitely made some improvements for me.
>made friends and good memories playing together
>got me into game design which I love doing and knowing theres a lot more I'll be able to learn as the industry evolves
>helped me to expand my creativity and pushed me into picking up world building, designing characters, writing in general, and appreciating tabletop gaming
>gave me an entertainment media I couldn't find elsewhere like >>339285743
