Have you ever funded a Kickstarter?

I have a friend who did that. And regrets every second of it.
Only a subhuman would fund things they have no way to know how they will turn. Seriously, if you think is normal to fund games, buy DLC or pay for microtransactions/early accessm, keep in mind: you are a retard and you should kill yourself for being the cancer that killed videogames.
Starbound
Star Citizen
One of these was real fucking shit, the other is turning out alright I guess.
Yeah, a couple rpgs. Gonna back that System Shock Remaster next month.

Pillars of Eternity
Torment
Shadowrun: Hong Kong
Divinity OS 2
PoE and S:HK were both worth it even though they didn't live up to my expectations.
DOS 2 feels like a sure card.
Torment has some GOTY potential, but might also fail.
Yes. Many, many projects.
But hey, I've got some money to burn.
On a related note, has the KS funded vidya craze stopped? It seems to have lost all momentum.
Is it because the final results were disappointing? Have publishers discovered that maybe people want to pay for non-AAA games? Do developers regret using KS, as there's (usually) more money in using a publisher? Is it simply a matter of the devs who can use KS to create good stuff are busy creating that stuff right now, and costumers are tired of funding indie games?
