Yeah, companies are too afraid of user content somehow being used as lawsuit fodder aimed at them, so now all mapmaking has to go through an approval process, which must have regulations and strict limitations because it's just two interns at most checking to make sure you didn't just make a swastika out of Footmen/Marines/NPCs/etc.I miss NWN, and every time a game invokes the spirit of NWN and its editor I immediately get hype, even though I know it will be trash just like all the others.

I only had starcraft but even I KNOW that WC3 customs were 10x better.
SC maps were just lite-Wc3 maps. Some are still legendary but WC3 was better dude.
Sunken D was great but even in its one million varities it is no Element TD/GEM TD/Or one million other unique TDs

Not at all, just look at the massive amount of community made maps in TF 2 or the new UT.

Valve should rip map editor from wc3 with changes to account for copyright infringement. Hl2 modders aren't interested in top down gameplay so by not having a bridge from wc3/sc2 to dota2 they are trying to create a map making community out of thin air.
