That's really the case with any massively popular games, though. Only difference is that with TES and Fallout originals got lobotomized in the process. I don't really care for TES because in the end it is Bethesda own franchise and they can do whatever they want with it, but Bethesda was a HORRIBLE fit for Fallout and it showed instantly - they didn't really want to make a proper Fallout game, just a game that would get their modern TES audience's attention. You wall off a settlement and have just a gate and guns to protect them. An attack comes and one of two things happens.
