I'm really not sure, but in terms of tracks Julius' theme from AoS is pretty hype. Also obvious ones like Bloody Tears, Vampire Killer, etc.

As much as it hurts, it's really starting to look like konami just wants to withdraw from the gaming market as a whole and focus on pachinko until the company closes one day in the future, more games might not be likely.

It's an okay game that suffers from the early 3D "oh god we're still trying to figure out how to make the camera work well" problems a lot of games had at the time.

PC, yes. Considering porting if the PC release goes well.
It's going to be a metroidvania, with alots of collectible gear and spells and stuff, but we're considering leaving levelling out, and having limited lives, along with other more "classicvania" type mechanics.

If it's the former then it just creates a situation where I reach a final boss with 1 life and am basically fucked. How many players will apreciate being forced to start the game from the beginning just because they fucked up one too many times? Rogue-like fans maybe.
If it's the latter then it almost defeats the point of lives in the first place. Just get rid of lives and place checkpoints further apart in general.
I'm sorry. If you think you can make it work then that's fine. But I just don't see how it can be done. I never liked the fact that old NES games had limited lives/continues. And that trend came from the arcades anyway where it was the main pillar of monetisation. So unless you going to add microtransactions that allow to buy lives (which I doubt you do), I don't see the point of bringing that mechanic back.

That's even worse. You get rid of level grinding by removing leveling altogether, but allow farming lives?
When I think of word metroidvania I think about exploration and permanent power-ups. Last thing i think of is grinding. The whole genre works perfectly with pick-ups that permanently increase your HP, but are placed in optional hard to reach places.
And final boss cand be hard as fuck if you want. There is no need to add the nessesity to farm lives.

Life farming doesn't make you stronger, and it doesn't make the game easier.
Level farming is just a way to "bypass" difficulty.

And waste time doing it. I'd rather have a hard game with infinite lives, so that I can concentrate on getting good instead of thinking how many lives I got left and whether I need to bactrack to grind some more.
