Who was the best colossus?
>>
The bird, and the flying sand-snake were most fun.

Obviously the last one was the most awe-inspiring.
>>
>>339232578
What's the point of a size chart if they don't bother putting the last colossus to size?

The last colossus was much, much, much bigger than that.
>>
>>339232886
You sure though?
>>
The one that was about the size of a bull near the end. It was the only one that made me feel legitimately bad for killing it.
>>
>>339232798
this

I also like the knight guy
>>
>>339233494
You know, maybe not. It must be how the camera moves.

It does make sense that the last colossus' hand is about the same size as the bull.

I didn't realize the flying colossi were so fucking huge, too. I guess it's how the camera gets positioned as well.

I think it's accurate. He's about twice as big as the tallest biped one, and that motherfucker is tall as shit already.

What a fucking waste.

You go to all that work, and give up your own life, just for some random Plain Jane girl who will never fuck you

>Someone actually took the time to write that
Browsing /v/ with your spare time is pretty sad, but imagine having so little to do with your spare time that you actually sit at your computer and write this crap. Without even reading the whole thing you can tell the guy has no job and probably thinks of themselves as 'the funny one' in their circle of friends. I feel embarrassed just knowing this exists and I don't even know who I'm embarrassed for. Poor guy.
>>
So I've never played this before. Is it still worth a try, or is it too dated? What about ICO?
>>
>>339232578
>Bird gave me the first sense of immersion
>The one with the underground bunker was the first to make me marvel at their behavior and laugh

Poison salamander in the arena was my most hated one. The first tiny colossus was the first one I pulled out a guide for, and from that point on I ruined the game by using a guide.
One recent attempt at a second playthrough, I had too much trouble with the fish one. It sucks.

hm, i only remembrer the two flying collossi is the bird and the snek with bubbles.. who were the other two?
>>
>>339234903
Has it been a bit since you've played the game? because the flying sand colossus is the size of a freeway.

>>339237356
The other two aren't flying ones, they just put them there for scale. They're the sand snake with the big ol' eyes, and the electric water eel.
>>
>>339232578
bull-panter with the Shere Khan-phobia syndrom was fun to observe. Especially if you'd try to come closer with the torch and it will just swat you scarringly
>>
>>339237462
>The other two aren't flying ones, they just put them there for scale.

right. So, the flying ones were the most fun.
Fuck, this game was awesome
>>
>>339237296
One that never made it in the final game?
What about the spider o e? Got pics of that?
>>
>>339232578
it's easier to say, which ones were least fun were - for me it was the turtle-like thing which you had to roll over with the geyser) and the last boss. I would never figure out on my own to use the bow on his shoulder in order to continue - i was just trying to jump through the hoops on his right hand.
>>
>>339237296
I have no idea how you would have fought this one. But it's honestly the most horrifying of all the designs, both used and unused. That terrible abyssal mouth, Jesus.

I hope Last Guardian will be as immersive as Shadow of Colossus and Ico. Will we find out the release date this E3?
>>
>>339232578
I would love a remake/sequel to this game with 60fps and better graphics. Too good to be true probably.
>>
>>339237976
it'll have plenty of prompted QTEs for the modern gamer, friendo :)

>>

HD version isn't 60fps though.
>>
>>339232578
Man, this game was so simplistic but so much fun. It's sad we can't get more of this kind of game.
>>
>>339238390
yeah, i understand that it was their choice. But, fuck me, they surely didn't make it purely for shits and giggles. And they are not the ones who killed anyone.

For me, it was the 11th one: it makes you think of what to do in using the environment to your advantage since its weak points arte too high.

Anyway: part of me wishes for a sequel to this game, of course with a different protagonist and everything, but part of me realizes that the idea behind SotC was deconstructing boss battles and showing how miserable you are for killing these creatures. As you can imagine, i'm conflicted.
-then again, Ueda and Kaido have worked on The Last Guardian for like a decade, i guess it will be too much expecting something from them immediately-
>>

>robbers getting wasted that could just decide to kill the people there after robbing them
>>
>>339238505
i'm a fan of life. In any forms.

When there is confrontation between the living things (especially, if those living things could avoid it by re-organizing the social values) - that shit makes me sad
>>
>>339238470
can't tell if you're talking about the robbers or not, but if you are; you don't know that
pointing a gun at someone obviously means you're willing to take their life. glad they were put down on the spot
>>
>>339238868
no, it can also mean that you are desperate and don't want to kill anyone (cuz you're no maniac), but you need a solid leverage to get what you want/need (to cover the debts, for example)
>>
Phalanx is the best. It was the one that made me most sad to kill it. Malus might have taken that award but I was too frustrated by the shitty way you're supposed to beat it.
>>
I want them to release a Shadow of the Colossus 1.5 or something. Like, a remake with all the bosses that never made it added in plus extra lore. The lore doesn't necessarily have to explain everything but I did enjoy thinking what's up with the game.
>>

There was supposed some appendage that you stabbed inside it's mouth. Pretty fucked it, was the hardest colossi to program, iirc.
>>
>>339239485
Oh man that vid of all the kids on horses scaling the colossus. Ugh
>>
The final one is so shit.

Dodging lighting bolts at 15fps is the anti-thesis to fun. He's the most static fight and visually the least imaginative design in the game.
>>
>>339240584
You sound very bad at the game, and very bad at opinions.
>>
>>339241328
But he's right, last colossi is one of the worst fights in the game.

>>
Phalanx was the best by far

Falling and having to mount him again was great, when a monster makes failing enjoyable thats how you know it was great
>>
>>339232578
#10 and #15 are my favorites
#4 was pretty fun, too
>>
I feel like this is a good game, but the distance you have to travel to each new beast was awful because of the absolutely horrid horse mechanics. Overrated.
>>
The aquatic one made me fear open, murky waters so it wins.
>>
>>339243258
>Completely fuck up the jump from the bridge to the tower
>Trigger the colossus cutscene when I land in the water
>It shows a giant underwater serpent of some kind now circling now
>SEVERE PANIC AS I DESPERATELY SWIM FOR LAND

It took me ages to figure out how to kill this thing, mostly because I was too afraid to get into the water.

That's the thing about this game though. It can take hours or minutes to finish depending on how fast you can solve each colossus' "puzzle". Solving how to hit the weak point was a great feeling, but you only get it once per boss.
>>
>>339243258
>The aquatic one made me fear open
I fear open water lvl since Zelda and Banjo games
