Yeah, it's a pity, because it's really fun with how customisable the ships are.
I just made one that kills through this process:
>create two clones
>all three ships create a gravity well
>ships also shoot projectiles that shoot more projectiles, which all gets caught in the ultra-strong gravity well and so shred anything that falls in to pieces
>added to the destructiveness of the gravity trap is an AoE ability that creates a pattern of projectiles unaffected by gravity
>also shoot projectiles that have their own gravity wells, which end up getting stuck in the gravity well, creating a super-ultra-strong gravity well that starts sucking in things from offscreen
>when the clones are killed or decay after 30s, they leave behind their own ultra-strong gravity wells, so the overally gravity well is super-ultra-mega-strong and everything is just chaos
