I have way too much fun with an archmage high elf hero. All her spells are suited for supporting the economy or troops and it works great.
Today I just started a darkl elf assassin. I never spend much time with heroes with high agility. Let's see how this will work out.

The campaign in WB3 wasn't a Total War-like conquest for every region. But you had some set missions to complete. You still had to traverse the same map, with optional fights, ambushes by the enemy, shops to sell and buy items. It's a bit hard to explain, but it's more like a regular rts-campaign with a lot of options, but not a conquest-mode.

I played the game a few years back and i have no memory of such things.Everything was working properly for me.
I was using massive stacks of orc archers so i am sure that they were working spiffy jiffy 100% of the time.
Necromancer Undead was way too much fun

Sorry, but this still doesn't seem very strong to me. Their archers cost a lot of gold and are produced in the main buildingif I remember correctly, those goblins are nothings special. They may transmit diseases, but are easily killed off. And there is nothing particular about those ogres, they are a strong unit, but nothing less. Their upgraded orcs are more noteworthy.
Not saying that the orcs a a weak faction, they are not. But they are not one of the strongest.

you start, where your race has their castle, and from there on you can choose the next region you want to attack. each region gives you different bonuses, like special units or a lot of gold or extra damage for your troops. you can also attack the base of other races, being able to play as them, if you win. though those are always the hardest missions with the most fortified bases ever.
