The top sellers list isn't about accumulative sales, it's about what game has the best sales for the given week, if you visited Steamspy you'd realize Youtubers Life got 71k and Doom 482k sales (actually owners, but same thing within some margin of error).
It just means it's outselling it at the current moment, which isn't any surprise as Doom probably already got most of its sales down for this period of time barring seasonal sales.
But yes it's still shit that something like this can make the top sellers list in the first place.

It ain't the year 2000 anymore, a lot of Steam users don't and never will have the big box desktop and graphics card.
