Fallout 4, no real content, its creators had not talent, the "artist" just slapped mechanics together and theb stupid people eat up that garbage and claim its deep and inspired, without understanding what those words mean.

Yep, and this one in particular.

It's like Duchamp's Fountain. Anyone could have done it, but nobody else did. It's not well made, and there's a clear lack of effort.

People say it's about a lot of things, but really it's a whole lot of nothing. All the burden of meaning is put on the player.

I can't think of a better example.

do you consider graphics/design as art too, anon?
Because I honestly don't know what you did learn from /pol/ and /int/ memes
but most of the people studying art aren't studying how to replicate Renaissance paintings
>>

Most people studying art are never going to do that and instead are going to make that sweet 16 close shot of an anus expo. Some rich dude is going to buy it for pennies, have it evaluated millions and gift it to a museum to avoid paying taxes.

>most people studying art are never going to do that

My ex roommate studied art during high school, I got to know some of his former classmates (most of them had that typical hippie look)

He's now studying graphics and advertising.
I know one of his friend, a girl, that switched to physics;
Another one is now working in a tattoo studio
Another one (girl) is now making really too much money by making mosaics for rich people all around the world
And the last one I know one is studying to be an animator.

I literally can't name a former art student that isn't actually working or doing something with their life.

I'm sorry if American do think that
>studying art-related subject
Means
>not doing shut and then becoming useless

Because it's really not how it works around here

Which ones exactly?
Doing tattoos is still art, same thing with animation, graphics and mosaics
And the girl studying physics is actually graduating to get to work in the movie industry, basically she wants to make cartoons and that uni is the fastest way to get there

>>339161215
I'm 22 and despite the fact I'm still studying, I actually do have a job

Needless to say it's not saying that much these days man, unless it's really good, you earn a lot of money, it's stable or just the job you wanted

It''s a job you don't even education for, it's no achievement. It's just getting a job you like, doesn't mean you are succesful.

Physics will more then likely go onto into a job in a field of science.

Studying animation is stilling being in a fucking classroom, you've said your friends are succesful yet you offer nothing.

Niche, as in it can change and grow, people might not have a demand for it at a time. Woop, there goes your friend's lifestyle.
>>
>>339162815

No, I don't claim to use them as an example for whatever points I make either because """"Anecdotal""""

>>339163075
Maybe you should tell us what "being successful" mean to you first. Because if it's holding a job unrelated to what you graduated from I know someone who did cinema at uni that's a sub artist now.
>>
>>339163075
I don't watch film or television, success is picking up something which will actually be useful in life rather then relying on something you'll most likely have to drop in the future. There's a reason why a lot of people don't turn their hobby into a job, it's much better to have a job in something you're not entirely interested in so you can spend more time with your hobby as what it is, a hobby.

not him but
>you don't even education
>so it's not an achievement
go doing that then. take a needle and draw something on someone with it. let's see if it needs no education

protip: it's a job where you can ruin everybody's lives because they trusted you
you need to become good, so good at the point it looks like you were born with a natural talent

which is waaay more difficult to archive than working as an nursery school teacher
A work that indeed require education, so "a real achievement"

It's just a flawed argument anon
>>
>>339163384
>I don't claim to use them as an example
Yet you use /pol/ memes as actual arguments

And you get to choose them

>>
>>339163726
So you're admitting you use fallacies as arguments.
Read aloud your own question please
>>
>>339163957
This is like arguing through a dictionary, we're talking about an objectively useful and tangiable skill. I love how you've resorted to insulting me rather then arguing your point.

>>339163930
This doesn't really help the little libbie art bloke you're arguing for, this just denies his concept of succesful as well which just makes the wole argument fruitless.

>>339164094
Why would you with actual intent manipulate an argument into something way out of proportion, he's arguing that anecdotal evidence is trumped by empirical and hear you are putting words in his mouth.
>>
>>339164094
No, I had an argument, other than the fallacy.
https://www.prospects.ac.uk/careers-advice/what-can-i-do-with-my-degree/fine-art
>27 placement rate in art everyone else doing something unrelated
So let's do some math
70% employment
27% of those end up actually doing an art related job
Meaning 19% of people doing art degree end up with an art job and could be considered "successful".
