3rd
want to see my sweet ass ride
>>
Cockpit > hood > floor > third person (far) > third person (close)

Simulation games I prefer the bumper view
Arcade games always 3rd person
>>
Cockpit.

Only way.
>>
>>339094917
i prefer cockpit but theres some games where i play with chase cam
>>
First person because of immersion.
>>
I prefer Cockpit/First Person, mostly because muh immersion.

third person, except in Ridge Racer (where viewing in first person is extremely important for getting a feel of how the drift is going)

the higher vantage point in third person and ability to see just where my car is in regards to walls/other shit without needing to average helps otherwise
>>
(OP) I prefer first person view myself because it makes me wonder how close I can get to walls, while in 3rd person view it's a different feeling, you don't really see how close you are to the walls.

Depends. If it's Need for Speed or Wangan Midnight I use third person. If it's a simulator or Initial D I use first person
>>
Arcade type racers it doesn't really matter, I can play with either. If its a racing sim or a game with a somewhat realistic physics model, first person is usually what I go with.
>>
Third-person, because I can see more stuff on the screen

I'm probably just not used to 3rd person but I tried Akina downhill:
Finished in with 3rd person 3:23
1st person view finished in: 3:13
That's a 10 seconds difference.

this

3rd person for arcade racing, 1st person for sims and immersion. Driving in GTA5 in 1st person is surprisingly fun, mountain biking is spectacular.

Dirt Rally is such a fucking tense game. If I play for more than 30 minutes straight I get a light headache most of the time because I'm really fucking concentrated.
>>
3rd for dem sweet angles
>>
Personally I like third person best. Being able to see your car completely helps me with depth perception. Having the camera inside the car is alright but still hard for me to make sharp turns.
Front bumper view is the absolute worst and I have no idea how people fucking use that shit.

Bumper view gives the most intense feeling of speed but yeah, you can't see shit because of how low it is.
