Obviously. Overwatch takes all the garbage from TF2, makes it not garbage (i.e. good) to create such an amazingly fun and great experience. I highly recommend buying Overwatch
Compared to base game TF2 it's leagues better. I'd put in on par with or even still better than current latest update TF2.
Honestly I'm more just excited for blizzards usually fantastic post launch support.

From someone that has played a ton of tf2 and quite a bit of Overwatch, it's fun but I think they're too different to be compared.
Overwatch feels sluggish compared to tf2 and focuses more on Moba like situations where you use your abilities to get an upper hand whereas tf2 you actually have to be more tactical to get your team to victory.
Overwatch is pretty low skill compared to TF2 also, even the hardest characters to play anyone can pick up and learn in a few hours where in TF2 1000s of hours later people still have to practice at some of the more difficult classes to understand their nuances.
That's just what I've observed so far, I think Overwatch competitive is going to be hella boring to watch so it probably won't get that far and will probably die off after a year or so.

While it has far less game mode and maps also no custom continent support o still would have to yes. It much more fun. The shooting is better. The maps are better. It feels better. The glades are much more interesting ect
