I have never in my 28 years of playing videogames been so made playing a game as I am playing this.
I'm constantly getting paired with the absolute worst there is. My dead grandparents who never even got to experience the cellphone would play better than 98% of the people I get paired with.

I mainly play with my friends but sometimes play with randoms if I got the urge.
Don't play with randoms, and the reason for it is that they all suffer from "lone hero" syndrome, some of them are actually individually skilled but they're still the reason we lose the fucking match because they're completely unable to play together as a team at the vital moments that make the difference of whether we win or lose.
When playing with friends it feels like a well-oiled machine in comparison, we give each other heads ups, we communicate positioning and timing and if we lose it's because we lost as a team.
When playing randoms vs randoms the only reason you ever lose is because the opponent team had just a tiny bit more of a sense of teamwork.
Hearthstone makes me more upset by far

Just play Reinhart and pull up your shield. Scrubs flock to it and by virtue of being forced to be around each other, learn teamwork actually helps.

I don't understand why there are people who STILL don't understand what the objectives are. I was playing attack on Route 66 earlier, we were slaughtering the opposing team, the payload was on the second checkpoint with overtime ticking down, when literally every other member of my team decided to chase after an opposing McRee, leaving me alone on the payload to get swarmed swiftly followed by a defeat.
I found out how to get matched with good players. As soon as someone switches to Widowmaker, especially when you already have one, remember their name. After the match go to Social menu, Recent players, find their name, right click and select "Avoid this player".
Soon you will never be matched with sniper shitters. Game gets way better.

It's not even that I care about demanding that randoms use the mic., you can still communicate alright through using the voice options or text, but randoms aren't even like that, it's just dead silent and even if you tell people to "group up" or that "your ult is ready", they don't seem to respond to it in any meaningful capacity.
I think I've played about 20 matches or so with randoms and it was only 3-4 or so where people actually worked tightly together as a team, those matches were also great, but otherwise, playing with randoms is just a trainwreck.

Yeah, pretty much. Played with some randoms last night, and we were defending. Everybody just rushed out the gate and didn't even stick near the capture point. A fucking Genji and Reaper just infiltrated that shit while the rest of my team was like a mile away from the site.
Also, Reaper's ult is kind of retarded. It's so lame watching the kill cam and seeing him throw himself into a group of people and just pressing Q.

It's probably the best shooter this year. It has some interesting class, some useless classes. It's not as good as TF2 (which was like $5 at launch and is free now) but it's the best class-based shooter game since TF2. I'm enjoying it more often than not. I really don't know if it will have longevity. I don't think the long term appeal is really as strong as TF2's.
