How about we point out some of the rare fuckups in New Vegas?
For example the mole rats. In Fallout and Fallout 2 the "mole rats" are just enormous mutated rodents.
In fallout 3 the capital wasteland has enormous naked mole rats that were developed by the US government as a weapon against the Chinese. There's no real reason for them to exist in the Mojave, other than the reuse of assets.

The biggest FNV fuck-ups were Cazadors and hardcore mode combined. Cazadors were able to poison both you and your companions. You could heal yourself with antidotes, but your companions were unable to use anything other than stimpacks and unlike other Fallout games you couldn't use restoratives on your NPCs. This wouldn't be a problem since Bethesda games are idiotproof and make everyone immortal to prevent both devs and retards from fucking-up the game. However Obsidian introduced hardcore mode turning Fallout into a somewhat normal game and made companions killable. This made fighting Cazadores very frustrating.
Just started playing this. Its great but one major flaw is the limited amount of voice actors in the game, I must have run across that anime dub VA at least 100 different times so far.

Out of interest, does uninstalling the game via Steam and then reinstalling fuck up any mods I previously had?
As far as I can tell any and all mod or modded files are still in the steam folders.
So I decided to start Fallout 3, after playing New Vegas for a bit. I figure if New Vegas is better, might as well get Fallout 3 out of the way.
So after like 4 hours of FO3 I went back to NV because there's been like one likable character in FO3 so far and playing it felt unfun. There's probably a moral here.

JSawyer is developed by Joshua Sawyer, lead developer/director on New Vegas.
JSawyer is essentially a balancing patch that never made it into the official updates because they got closed off. Eventually, if they had gotten permission, this stuff would have gotten added in.
It essentially makes the game more challenging, but fair, but also fixes some glaringly obvious remaning balance issues with the game. For instance, it distributes all of the DLC gear that gets dumped on you at the beginning into sensical places across the Mojave so that you're not totally overpowered straight out of the gate, and it also does other minor stuff like adding the cut Armored Vault 21 Jumpsuit back into the game, which was left out because of a mistake.
Essentially it's a really good dev patch.

The writing and dialog is just so awkward and poorly done. The player dialog choices especially.
Also I really just wasn't having fun exploring. It feels completely directionless and not in a good free roaming kind of way.

Basically, Fallout 3 is a fun but shallow and dumb game where you wander around and shoot stuff. It appeals to a more casual audience.
New Vegas is an RPG with developed characters, factions, setting and choices that actually matter. It's more in tune with the design style of classic RPGs, such as the original Fallout games from the late 90s (Which New Vegas is a direct sequel to).
New Vegas is pretty slow paced and has a setting that's developed in a way where it's not an empty blasted hellhole filled with things to shoot and you have to consider what you're going to do. This repelled the more casual audience, but appealed to the more traditional RPG loving audience.

Nah the game looks worse without the tint.
The tint gives the game a distinct western warm campfire feel that goes along with the blue-purple skies. Fellout makes the game too bare and makes Gamebryo look even uglier.
