Interesting thing I've realised is that U4 uses the 'luck system'. Instead of actually getting shot, bullets miss the famously good fortuned Drake until his luck runs up, at which point a single shot will land and kill him.
Someone mentioned it in a thread before and I didn't think it was real, but I'm pretty sure I've witnessed it. It's pretty neat.
it's a boring moviegame with subpar gameplay. even if you're really impressed by cutscenes and elaborate setpeices, those things age poorly and have no replay value. and since those are the only thing uncharted does well, then there's no reason to keep the moviegame once you've gotten through the thing. otherwise it'll just sit there collecting dust, no one ever goes through things like this more than once.

It looks really nice and had an enjoyable story that's good for one playthrough, but the gameplay was repetitive and tedious. By the time you get to Libertalia it's just a fucking slog. Not only is there no replay value, but the thought of having to endure the gameplay a second time around is an active deterrent.

Multiplayer only has 3 modes. Each modes's matches only last an average of 6 or 7 minutes. Except in Plunder and Command where your team and the other team purposely ignore the Objectives. Me, I do that in Plunder. We capture 2 idols, and babysit the idol after that. While the other team tries to kill us.

Yes. On the single player side you have treasures, journals, and optional conversations to collect for 'cheats' and other fun stuff. You have to beat the game on hard to unlock crushing. If you are a trophy hunter there are tons of them to get, some of them are quite devious.
Multiplayer is as fun as Uncharted 2, while it is admittedly sparse at the moment, ony four modes CO OP and other stuff is coming soon, and you don't have to pay a cent.
/v/ has always hated Uncharted and will summarily dismiss this post. I love the game and my love only grows larger by the day.

Most of the game is climbing on the sides of cliffs cienematically with no way to fail unless you intentionally jump off.
There are a FEW actual platforming jumps when you're using the rope or sliding down a hill.
Might be the easiest Uncharted to clear on crushing because there are hardly any shooting parts and no supernatural enemies. To be fair the zombie guys and fire guys were shit enemies, maybe bullet sponge pirate skeletons wouldn't have been much better.

In that part if you die the game straight up puts you back at the beginning of the second wave of guys in an open area with no cover.
