Except Versus was planned for sequels not XV. Multiple interviews with Tabata state that the first thing they set in stone when turning Versus into XV in 2012 was that it'd be a single game that condenses Versus and it's sequels into one game as XV. Yeah, that's bullshit. It doesn't take that long to polish and debug. With MGSV they also had to scrap what could be scrapped, figure out what could be salvaged, and probably weren't willing to put any more money into the project since Kojima was going out the door.

Yes it does. They game confirmed game is content locked as of Dec 2015 and they've been in Beta ever since which is the polishing, debugging and optimization stage. The game will have to go gold no later than August. XV is multiple times bigger and more graphically demanding than P5 so how is that even an apt comparison?
