I mostly played 4 with a friend who had less experience with the games. He went IG and I ended up loving CB and we worked well off eachother.
I definitely did feel as though I was putting in more effort to get my paychecks worth, but I'll admit it was cute watching him flail, buff and mount randomly and have fun while I went with a more technical approach. Eventually I had to help him knock off the mount spam since it does more harm than good after awhile, but we ended up being able to time eachothers moves for optimal damage output with mounting and attacking and it felt great.
He was the only IG player I played with, but he always felt more Chaotic Good than anything. Wouldn't be surprised if he was a rare player though.

Motion values are way too low and songs are way too slow and risky to play up close in end game. It's a fun and great weapon, and I think at least every other semi serious player should learn it, but it IS a weak weapon. Guild is the full moveset and has two hunter arts
Striker omits moves for three arts
Aerial changes the roll to a leap and you vault off monsters, modifies moveset, one art slot
Adept (Bushido) style gives you the perfect dodge or guard which can be followed up, also modifies moveset and has one hunter art
Worst Guild style is CB because of its changes to shield boosts and guardpointing, reducing its comboing potential. Adept however has both the perfect guard AND dodge depending on the mode you're in, and ditches the shitty yellow boost.

It must suck to be a hammerfag right now. They used to have a cool gimmick, but even SnS can do KO damage now. They even got outclassed in KO damage by the memesword in 4U. To make matters worse, anyone can simply hop on a monster to stun it. Meanwhile, HH does more exhaust damage and can increase the party's damage by massive amounts and even give infinite stamina.

I honestly think the FU version of song recital is a lot more impressive since you actually have to jam sweet music infront of murder machines to fight. Not to mention look like it made more sense that way since you are actually playing the instrument to make music notes and only attacking when you stop and swing.
