>>338672457

>>338672745
I accidentally a word. I meant to type "vibrate wing muscles fast enough to generate more heat."
Bees are capable of tolerating higher temperatures than wasps are, so when they swarm all over one they vibrate their muscles, which generates a lot of heat. So inside the beeball, the wasp can't take the heat and dies while the bees just power though it. It's pretty cool.
So yes, they do vibrate to attack.

You do realize that's sped up dozens of times, right? Starfish are very slow.
/mlp/ asked themselves this once and now there's a "moth pony" thread that's been going for years.
Anyway it's probably because moths are very simple creatures from an evolutionary standpoint, they are unintelligent even by insect standards and their strength is mostly visual trickery and fact their biological niche has few competitors precisely because a highly energy-economic form that mostly relies on passive defenses requires so many "steps" that competing with them is in itself energy uneconomic.

I wanted to make a game about a pink underwing moth who decided life was too short and broke off from the tribe to explore a magic tower in search of eternal life.
She has 4 arms and her weapon would be magic rings that act kind of like brass knuckles, but with the added risk of horrific magic backlash from having so many magic rings withing close vicinity at once. All your super attacks would be affected by the type and combination of magic rings you had equipped. And of course the more copies the stronger the effect and more violent the backlash.
Over the course of the game she becomes more horrifically mutated while gaining new abilities like spreading toxic scales, longer flight, and paralyzing more/stronger enemies when she flashes her bright pink wings as a counter attack/parry.
