I love how this expansion really gets at the heart of witcher gameplay. You press that witcher vision button, and you feel that immersion, I could follow those trails for hours. I love how accessible the game is, you can't get lost like you could in oblivion because they actually knew how to MARK THEIR FUCKING PATHS. Like why can't other rpg's do this? Do they know nobody has fun being lost? I tried playing dragon age II and it had no witcher senses or pathmarkers. I dropped that shit in like 5 minutes. I thought it would be unlockable later but i guess the devs like leading you on some wild goose chase instead of letting you actually play the game. Like I don't see the point in making something so difficult. Bioware has a lot to learn from CDPR. I just think for the witcher 4 they should add the auto run button with roach for when you're on foot. Like anyone wants to sit around holding forward all day...

The crossbow really does not serve to cause damage as much as it serves to take the creature down from the skies.
Just observe the attack pattern the creature has. Use roll instead of dodge, use the potion that increases damage, and hit the fucker with strong attacks.
You can also use Quen which will soak up a single attack, which is good because the gryph has a relatively slow attack rate. If you still can't dodge his attacks, slow him down with yrden.

Yeah, mess around with the settings. That is what most people do because they aren't complete retards and understand that games can be customized in some degrees. Witcher senses do lead you towards your goal, but in most cases you don't need to do it as the relevant cues (with the exception of stenches) are visible by naked eye if you are perceptive. And yes, if there is some feature that you dislike, you don't have to use it. It's presence, as it's not mandated, does not detract from the game.

Geralt, Cirri, Roche, Letho, and a few other characters I'm forgetting all have 15 attack (the highest) and are immune to any and all card effects.
You get them for completing the gwent quests and they're "neutral" and thus can be put into any of the decks.
There is no reason not to load all of your decks full of them and steamroll everyone.
There are other unique neutrals, like the elven sage who's a 0-attack spy, Dandelion who serves as an immune attack-doubler for the front line, or Yennefer who's a 7-attack medic.

Yeah, that's the problem. You are fucked without a silver sword, you get major damage reduction when using steel sword on monsters. Try buying your old sword out, or find other way to get a different one. There is a crafting blueprint for Viper silver sword in the graveyard crypt near white orchard, if you can get your hands on some basic tools + a silver block, you can have the Nilfgaardian supply officer to make it for you.

The option to start a "new" game with a level 30 character in order to play through the DLC really removed that problem for me. You can just jump into the game, play through the DLC, then quit out without having to worry about anything.
I would actually be more worried about player fatigue than reluctance to revist the game after months. With both of the DLC, the whole game extends to some 160 hours of core content. Given that the game has a bit of mechanical variety issue, this might actually be exhausting and tiring to run through it all in one extended period of time.

The Viper gear has no other upgrade paths. Don't bother holding onto it (unless they've added something in the DLC).
Griffin will be the first set of real Witcher Gear. You'll get an actual quest to find the pieces, which you should prioritize.
Once you get Cat and Bear (Wolf is different and you can't get it until 3/4s of the way through the game), you can leap-frog between Griffin, Cat, and Bear whenever you level up past your current armor and you'll never find better random equipment.

You should always be over the main quest levels, easily. If you do like 5 side quests you are way higher than the main quest and vice versa.

No they don't. Not really. Some battles will get harder but witcher senses will always tell you where to go, for the most part. I hate witcher senses. Worst part of the game by far. I'd rather have a damn waypoint on the map than have to follow footprints for half a mile. It's not fun at all.
