The whole invasion system in the Souls series is somehow retarded and I cannot really figure out why.
The actual combat is actually really fun (if it isn't bugged as fuck), just the whole Humanity/Ember system is unsatisfying. It doesn't feel like a part of the main game, just a co-op/PvP tool.

Also, while I was helping someone last night, we beat the first group of Abyss Walkers but when the second part of the fight was about to start, the game immediately went to a loading screen and after about 20 seconds the game resumed and I got my medal and ember and the boss was dead. How? The host would have gotten the same loading screen, right? I can't possibly imagine him somehow killing the final Watcher in 20 seconds considering how we did against the group.
This was also on Xbone so it's not as if he somehow hacked the game.

Anyway, I invaded that guy again, he had switched to the Butcher Blade and Yhorm's Great Shield. Was waiting at the bottom of the elevator for me, but I jumped off early.
He got a number of "lucky" hits on me in which he aimed AWAY from me and it hit, and getting hit by Yhorm's Shield Bash several feet away and to the side of him. Suffice to say, I died.
He's also a fag who is so shit at the game, he has to backstab all humanoid enemies to win, did it to the Cathedral Knight on the central platform 3 times with no other hits, holding up shield the whole time.

Actually, there is one, the element of surprise. You can tell where a Host is approximately based on mobs killed/triggered. Like in the Dungeon, if you spawn in a cell near the beginning and the first Warden is still standing before the entrance door, they're either in the Giant's pit or the Bonfire. I was trying to make my Bloodborne character that used the BoomHammer into DS3. I am pleaseantly surprised. L2 really catches people offguard, cannot be parried and you can freeaim it, unlike the Dragonslayer's LOOK AT MY ATTACK l2. I tought I was the only one using it desu.
I have no problems in duels since if they are close I smash them and if they are far I shoot at them. Shitters and tryjards try to parry the L2 or the 2H R1 and it is hilarious when they die and see their pro skills a shit.
