Interesting game in that you can make up some fairly surprising loadouts.
Webm related for example: Rather than charging up balls to launch them out at a medium speed, it instead just instantly spits them out at slow speed and immediately hits them away at high speed with a bat.

I know it can end badly, and I know it seems like a full-on autist way to go about doing things, but you can always just throw yourself into conversations with people.
I got a random party invite to talk with some dude I played Dark Souls 3 with who wanted to PvP. At first I got anxious and wanted to just lie and message him back an hour later saying I was afk but I accepted it and we ended up hitting it off.
Try new things, anon. I would love to meet people who just like the shit I like but maybe you can meet new people and start liking something you're not yet familiar with.

One big problem with this game is that you can't just immediately get into the multiplayer, and almost no one will play the campaign for the 2-3 hours it takes to unlock the multiplayer.
I've gifted this game to 11 people, and of those 11 only 1 has played with me, and 3 have unlocked multiplayer.
Talked to an online friend by the way (who is that 1), still feel lonely but not soul-crushing levels of it at least.
It's a pity you never see anything like 1000v1000 PvP deathmatches, because being outnumbered 5 to 100 and just trying to not die sounds like a great way to have fun as a group.

30-45 is a new sort of hell. At 50+ you get to be the cool old geezer who likes vidya and people will just assume you're a divorcee or something, but at 30-45 there's just no support structure for it.
