I thoroughly enjoyed and 100%'d both Fez and Dust: An Elysian Tale. They are both solid games and were well worth the money, albeit I got them on sale.
Related, I also loved Guacamelee, although I've seen many people on here who've also played it enjoyed it as well.

Borderlands 2. Because it's just plain fucking fun. There aren't many games that can put a grin on my face while I play and BL2 is one of them. It's in my personal top 5 on fun factor alone.

Planetside 2
Portal 2. Even though it won the /v/gas that year, /v/ collectively seems to shit on the game. The common complaints are that it's easy or too short, but the first game was even easier and shorter. The game take around 11 hours, which isn't bad, and that doesn't take into consideration the co-op mode which lasts a few hours and all the community made shit. I also thought the game was funny as fuck.
