yeah, actually. a lot of people remember her for having gigantic tits but honestly, her physicality is pretty much the least important thing about her. she's a formidable fighter, a determined person, and a loyal friend. she has a personal reason to despise the antagonist, Sephiroth; despite her loss and sorrow she maintained a belief that the Shinra had to be stopped.
She's the reason Cloud's fractured psyche was put back together. She's obviously in love with who he's become; and she's painfully aware that his interests lie elsewhere. She was so dedicated to beating her enemies she allowed herself to be snared into sexual slavery JUST to get near the pimp who could tell her what she needed. She's a very strong character, but people--mainly assholes who never played the game--just look at her as another example of eyecandy.
