When you pick a race you choose who your faction leader will be, each one giving different bonuses to the faction, except for chaos each faction has two leaders to choose from (chaos gets 3). Other than that the faction you choose starts in the same location regardless of who your leader is. The mod splits the faction leaders into different start locations, so each player can choose a leader from the same faction.
Co-op works just like the campaign, with one player taking his turn, then the other player, etc (shit can get tiring quick if the other person doesn't know what he's doing or takes a long time). In battles against the ai you can either let your partner control the enemy army, or you can "gift" him part of your army to control, for example cavalry or artillery.

He literally stole compilations from other people and didn't credit them properly. The battle AI that everyone gushes over is a paintjob that works BECAUSE the unit ranges are increase up by 5 times. The AI doesn't charge it's generals in because the pistol range is increased by an obscene amount.
