GameBryo was an outsourced game engine ATLUS used for Catherine. ATLUS took what they learned from their first HD game and applied it to the Persona 5 game engine.
Persona 5 game engine was made specifically for the PS3 and most of the bulk was designing hundreds of demons for the first time in HD. A lot of the Atlus RPGs from the PS2 era just utilized assets from Nocturne, Atlus' first PS2 game, for example see how much Atlus reused from Persona 3 in Persona 4.
Persona 5 is a PS3 game that got a PS4 port. Nothing more. Quit over analyzing it. Nintendo consoles have Mario, Sony consoles have Persona. Fucking deal with it or not, means nothing in the long run. I'm getting flashbacks to the entitlement issues of Bayonetta 2 port beggers.
