Having huge drops and constant loud noise does not make music metal. That is not what heavy metal is about. It's about tempo, riffs and solos, and bass drum rhythms at its core. NuDoom made the mistake of not having the music carry the energy of the action going on and the colors managed to make the game blend together a lot, worse than the old dooms did with limited technology.
