I would say at this point that it's been called "overrated" so much by so many people for so long, that it is now no longer overrated.
When everybody agrees that something is overrated, then by definition, it no longer is.
it's the new generation of kids who were born in the late 90s, they played the 3D version and their mushy brains couldn't figure out any of the adult temples because they're used to having objective markers in their games. it's still as good as it ever was.

I LOVED THE AWESOME SERIES
I never like OOT that much just wasn't my thing, infact many n64 games felt slow and clunky to me for some reason.
