I'm currently using 2 builds:
40 Vig, 45 Dex, 9 Str, 30 Fai, 45 End
Elite Knight Armor Set with Sharp Falchion, Grass Crest Shield, Canvas Talisman. FAP Ring, Life Ring/Prisoners Chain, Deep Ring, Gwyns Ring
Spells are Sacred Oath, Lightning Weapon (or Darkmoon Blade if you have the time) and Great Lightning Spear.
30 Vig, 45 Str, 45 Dex, 30 End,
Black Knight Great Axe, Grass Crest Shield, With FAP Ring, Havels Ring, Prisoner's Chain, And Chlor/Life Ring.

As for the dancer just needed to git gud. What really sucks is you can't go above +2 for your weapons if you wanna stay in good matchmaking for low levels

There are different metas, mate. You can find duels at 80 just fine. Hell, I have a SL70 character who can find a summon at Pontiff in no time.

Current favorite weapons to cycle through are : Refined Dragon slayer's axe, Refined Lothric Knight Sword (with leo ring), Refined Carthus Curved sword. Refined Drag Hammers.
just cap/play however the fuck you want. with enough practice, patience, and a good mood you can make any weapon/build you like work for you
but i imagine if you go anywhere above 147 while playing you're gonna stop running into players. not that I've actually tried

My twink build is pretty good. Start off deprived, get to sl20. Vigor 22+5 vit 10+5 end 17+5 str 10+5 dex 10+3. Firelink set, two hand firelink greatsword +1, spear +2, prisoners chain, knights ring, carthus milking for the dex req, and usually cloranthy but I'll mix that around. Have iron flesh attuned

I mostly make use of the third hit with only thrusting weapons, that tends to be the only time it works, like with the bestoc. It can be done with all weapons to my knowledge, though, so my advice is to roll the complete opposite direction of the person attacking you. The only time I hit it with anything other than an estoc is if i wait like .25s and attack the third time AND the enemy rolls next to me.

Decrease your equip weight. If you roll farther he won't get a catch. You could also just delay your roll slightly, since that is what your opponent must be doing to get another hit on you because of how the roll timing is. Alternatively, roll to the side. Rolling is cheaper than any attack except for daggers and rapiers on stamina, eventually he'll run out and you can make distance.

You don't have to get that low, the distance increases steadily as you get lower. Keep in mind though the farther you get from 70% the less catch poise you'll have, and even if you dodge out of damage large weapons have some extra range on their stun.

How do your invasions go? It seems like greatswords (not ultra greatswords) got shafted hard since they lack as much hyper armor as the big toys and speed of the smaller weapons.

What are some good Hollow weapons aside from those that inflict bleed? I'm being disparaged by the sheer quantity of what-should-be magic weapons that do max damage on quality builds and weapons with magic requirements that don't scale or do magic damage at all.
