Depends on the situation, if he was doing it as a hobby and producing videos for fun, fine, sure, he's been doing this for years and his priorities have possibly changed with job/family/etc.

Yeah, as far as lists and reaction videos go. It's not the same for video game content which has shown that people want edited content and don't mind length if it's quality. Problem is you also can't change your formula over night - if you're a guy known for long exhaustive reviews, than that's what you do. He has been branching out into other other pop culture material, but people apparently want long videos as far as edited content goes.

Doing trailer reactions and movie reviews that boil down to it just being a conversation between him, a fat disgusting neckbeard and other joe are a hell of a lot easier and less time consuming than doing his actual game reviews.
It's much easier to sit through a 2-3 hour movie and talk about it with friends on camera for 30 minutes afterwords and make two 15 minute videos.
