honestly the ps4 version is pretty good. i played the beta on both pc and ps4, and they both held up fine.
the console version is a little slower paced, and will have separate balance changes to account for controllers, but it's perfectly serviceable.

Sell better doesn't mean much, most people will move on onto another game after some time, the reason why arena games like that stay relevant for prolonged periods of time is the competitiveness and there will be a lot more competative players on a PC, if there will ever be tournaments they also be played on PCs. This is why games lile CS and Dota have tens of millions of players even though both of them existed for more than 15 years now. Conpetative and professional scene is what keeps those games alive.

It doesn't really function 1:1 as a mouse, the software has to convert the mouse movements into joystick input for the console to recognize it, so it's not a perfect reproduction. There is a decent of customization options to get it pretty close but i don't think it'll ever feel exactly the same as on pc (my opinion)
