So far I haven't found any encounters like in those webms where enemies just casually stroll into your fast attack. I think FROMbabbies staged those "le such easy combat all i have to do is keep pressing my attack button to win" to try to show how LE PREPARE TO DIE was sooo much harder.
Either that or CDred patched mob AI at some point to prioritize enemy packs into distancing and scattering. Ghouls, Wolves and Drowners--none of those motherfuckers come in nice single file line for me to chop up. Spectres are surprisingly easier since they're very readable--if they turn ethereal, they're swooping in to attack you from the side/back so all you do it do a barrel roll. Meanwhile, Spectres were fucking annoying as SHIT in the Witcher 2 because they seemingly just dodged attacks that landed half the time.
