I don't like Bayonetta, only because I've never played her games so I couldn't really be excited for inclusion. Corrin is inexcusable as a 6th Fire Emblem rep, and Sakurai even doubted his inclusion but the rest of the dev team talked him into it. What I was REALLY FUCKING hoping for was more control mechanics, nerfed recoveries, and removal of snap handholding ledges, aerial momentum conservation, and if you didn't want to give us perfect landing on button press like 64 and melee, at least remove the stat boosts from the smooth lander badge for fucks sake.
Then the game could have more depth than space airs and hoping for a confirm off of okies/hard reads, get the combos that SAKURAI LET YOU HAVE WITH NO FLEXIBILITY, then retreat to reset the neutral every 2 seconds after that because your combos end early so casual feelings dont get hurt. Then repeat for 5-7 mins until they fuck up escaping a okie so you get the fucking kill finally.
That's literally Sm4sh summarized ^. Every fucking match, every stage. Just camp and wait for a hard read based on your fake pressure that doesn't matter, do your guaranteed combos to a certain %, then play like a faggot till they're at KO %.

Corrin was a waste of a slot, Fire Emblem can stand on its own and some other franchise could have been put in for advertising.

But this is Sakurai, who couldn't be assed to update the Zelda characters because Ganondorf and Sheik weren't in Skyward Sword and he can't have characters from one franchise having different designs across the series.
