What's your video game idea?
Skyrim, but NOT shit.

he did
this is gonna sound totally crazy and nuts, but i believe it can be done. what if someone actually made a complete game and then sold it instead of shipping it half done and releasing the rest as dlc later? and while i'm going nuts here you could have even snip a little part of the game and let people play it for free to demonstrate the game, you could even call it a "demo"
>>338254559
>DLC
This is more of the fault of shitty producers and corporations, the natural product of digital distribution, and piracy then anything else.
>Demo
Game Demos can only hurt sales, it's not very economical though I do think they are nice.

>Demo's hurting sales
How exactly?

A mega man zero remake in the style of devil may cry.
You play as a horrifying monster in the shape of a knight with all kinds of horrible powers, and it's your task to guide a scared child back home, unharmed, for whatever the reason may be.
If you use your powers more liberally and are generally less caring of the child's mental well being, you get an evil ending.
If you do your best to protect the child and act more human, you can be saved from your horrid fate.
xenoblade chronicles X but as an MMO rather than lobby based instances
maybe it's a shit idea but the game itself just screams MMO to me with the fucking shitty ass low droprate collection items and various customization features
even works lorewise
co-op metroidvania

Just remake Harmony of Despair senpai
If i share it, i know it's going to get stolen, because it has been done before, but not to the extent i imagine it and know from self experience.

However, you still have your own needs as the monster that you are, so necessary evils need to be done, and the child needs to be cared for as well.
Too much time in the light will blind you, but too much darkness will scare her, and cause her to run from noises and other things if she can't see you.
You need to sate your disgusting hunger for raw meat, but she needs her food cooked and otherwise edible, or she'll get sick.
She needs sleep, but you thrive the most in the dark.
Instead of an escort mission, the game, she tries to stay as close to you as possible, as you're the only thing that looks human enough to trust, but run when fights get too near to her, and look for somewhere to hide.

A big Fantasy RPG without a great overarching story, you start the game, create your character, Personality Traits (on which out answers are based) and you start somewhere. You can be a merchant, mercenary, join the army or be a explorer and hunt for treasures and shit. A game that feels big where you can wander around for hours until you find another npc and something.
Basically Meme Run but with Metroid Prime style gameplay

They may not hurt sales, but the only thing that will come out of them is hurting sales or nothing.
Essentially when you create a demo for the game, especially in the internet age where anyone can watch gameplay of the game on youtube or wherever, there are two types of people who will play the demo
>Interested in game
>Not interested in game
Essentially, everyone who is interested in the game will play the demo. However after playing the game, the demo will skew people in one of two camps
>Plays demo; still interested in game
>Plays demo; no longer interested in game because bad demo or disinterest
Truth be told, everyone who would play the demo and have a positive experience would more than likely be a buyer and player in the first place. But putting out the demo gives a small chance that any potential interested buyers or players no longer like the project anymore, resulting in a lost sale.
It either has no effect, or hurts sales. Demos are not good for sales in any way, which is why game developers have stopped doing them.
A game made with Atari 2600 limitations in mind in terms of visual design.
Engine is far along. Sadly I'm not much of a musician so the music isn't good.

Clans of players fighting for influence in a medieval with fully scripted population and many ways to gain influence (economy, military, politics, religion, illegal activitied...).
Somehow like Europa 1400 but in 3d
Probably unfeasable though
I even know how to fill the story section but I'm too fucking lazy to start.
