There is a Retro Game store not too far from where I live and I was thinking of applying. Specifically for two reasons. I'm building a collection of my own and I believe staff get some sort of discount, so it would help me out a lot. And I guess I just love the atmosphere of the place. No normies. No kids. Just people with an appreciation for older games and preserving Vidya heritage. I also imagine you could get into some pretty interesting conversations with customers.
Are there any staff/former staff of any Retro Stores that could offer any tips?
Do you have previous retail work experience?

Yes but not substantial

Ps2 is 15 years ago

Could you elaborate?
I thought kids and normies only liked mainstream shit

It's a fucking VIDEO GAME STORE. You know how amazing that shit was when you were that age.
Do it Op!

Well... the "hardcore" gamers interested in this stuff already have a 120GB (biggest it can handle) hard drive in their ps2 with isos on it. Flash cards on their Super Nintendo / N64 full of roms, and a sweet emulation setup.
Nomies looking to recapture their youth (and autistic collectors, even worse) are about what you get.

But it's not the type of video game store that attracts kids and normies. It's not flashy enough and there aren't any cool POP figures.

Hahahahahaha! Nigger, my HDD is 320 GB and the PS2 recognizes that space. Just format it under 48-bit
sonic and knuckles just chillin up there

Is this People Play Games in Chicago? Or do all retro game stores look the same?
