There's a difference between having the raw talent to perform a task admirably and simply coasting by on a crutch because you happen to have magic.
I mean, you can have powers that aid you but it's much more impressive when a mundane character is able to keep up with you in spite of the power gap between them.
To put it another way, seeing Superman dodging Darkseid's omega beam is cool but seeing batman dodging the same beam is 10x more impressive since he doesn't have any superpowers.
