How steep of a learning curve does maj'eyal have?

If it wasn't for Artorias of The Abyss it would've been easily been FE7, but fighting Artorias and Manus still gives me goosebumps

do you have any previous roguelike experience?
probably take 50 hours for first blind normal playthrough, 10 hours for exploration

Not much roguelike experience, but I want to learn just to feel accomplished with any game that has a steep curve.

it's a very fun and rewarding game. i think they're up to over 30 classes now, and some extremely high number of spec options of each class so the replayability is good.
new expansion has some steampunk shit but I haven't tried it yet, still got a lot more work to do with base and first xpac.
have 1400 hours in it and i just recently got the point where i'm playing things twice and have only cleared madness rougelike difficulty once on a dwarf berserker

Is it a major diceroll-esque rpg?
If so, Im going to have a fuckhard time trying to learn. I die to anything in those kind of games.
