>tfw a guy told me about exmortis in WoW trade chat back in BC
>tfw we became really close friends, bonding over our shared love of point and click horror games

I haven't played Ex1 in years but I remember the ending being fucking impossible to figure out, Ex2 was one of the most enjoyable horror post apocalypic survival game I've probably ever played. Ex3 was cash in garbage.

holy fuck
those games were fucking incredible, literally 2deep4u.
great art, generally difficult-yet-fair puzzles (which is fucking rare in this kind of shit, I might add) and a spooky but compelling story.

>tfw looking it up

Exmortis 1 came out in 2004. So he could easily be 24.

I loved Exmortis, made me start loving horror. In the 2nd game I let the red cloud catch up to me when you had to escape the church just to see what would happen. Fuck it was good. Some of Ben Leffers other stuff was good and had a terrifying atmosphere. I think my favorite was Goliath the Soothsayer.

The last one is horseshit difficult but it's all worth it. I might go replay all of them now.
