the game is fun but the AI is insanely overrated. mostly relies on impossibly fast reaction times which force the player to abuse the shit out of bullet time or abuse their laughably shitty peripheral vision.
no usage of real squad tactics, they just move around a lot and the open geometry of the maps (which really is praiseworthy) tends to cause them to run up behind you a lot which will kill people who don't realize that the optimal strategy is usually just to keep running from cover to cover while shooting
also the big boys and robots are 100% tedium to fight
still a great game, just because of how good the good points are. all the sequels sucked ass, I probably wasted over 200 dollars hoping for another good FEAR game.

If he's in extraction point who cares, that's not cannon anyway as it wasn't made by Monolith. I've played it once but it was mostly forgettable.
