The reason I choose Yukari on my first playthrough is because it was the safest choice. It's like choosing a normal difficulty in a game you've never played/heard of/seen. She's probably the dullest girl in P3; however, it's not bad since she is in the middle spectrum of p3 girls. Fuuka is more of a introverted person, Mitsuru is a responsible and strict type, Aigis is the most Marry-sue kind of a character in P3.

Also, Yukari DOES develop over the course of P3 (becoming less of a bitch overall, but especially developing a friendship with Mitsuru), but it's sent to die in The Answer where suddenly she's obsessed with bringing Door-kun back up to and including the detriment of all her friends. The only reason she didn't flip on Mitsuru was because she decided to back Yukari up because Yukari had helped her when her dad died.
