It was awful, Diablo 3 in general was a shit game.
Towerfall was actually amazing, we hadn't had that much local multi fun since back on gamecube.

My brothers and I never played a game as thoroughly as we did that, and the closest couch-multiplayer game I can recall that is like that is the "Borderlands:Handsome Jack Edition" game for Xbox1/PS4.
Any other couch-multi games like that, with really extensive replay, RPG elements, grinding, adventure, and co-op?

Hope you find some gems, brah. Loads more local multiplayer games on the console side of gaming; the WiiU is a party machine, and many good local games can be found exclusively on the PS3/4, Xbox360/1 as well.
There has almost a renaissance for local-multiplayer games on PC. If you ever feel like finding something new, just check out the "Local Co-op" filter on Steam. Lots of gems are hidden away in the catalog.
