Now that new graphic cards are able to run games at 4k with better fps and the new PC standard is 2k is going ps4k going to be obsolete in launch, they're just aiming to 60fps and upscaling from 1080p while in PC at least the 67% of users is playing as minimum in 1080p (30% of user play with multiple monitors) and the 25% play on notebooks.

if they dont innovate, consoles will always be obsolete. Also desktop gpu cant handle 4k like it should (142 fps, or 7ms frame time which is more relevant) If you have a current gpu 1080p 144hz really is the only acceptable resolution, but that honestly sucks.
