Its not daunting if you play with people of your skill level, or someone a bit better than you.
Fighting games are all about skill and development of that skill. GG already has the best tutorial out of any fighting game right now. It can spoonfeed you everything but it really depends on your willingness to try.
Besides, Sin is fair as fuck, if you get perfected by him it only tells the world about your lack of fundamentals. He literally has minimal setplay and depends on punishing mashing and terrible decisions at neutral.
Ironically you still have to deal with R.Mika in SFV, a character that can literally perfect you if her setplay goes on

People who actually play GG are players who've played the game for a long time so they really know their stuff, I cant blame you for that.
Part of the reason why its hard to sell the game to most people. Though, if most people had the patience to learn then maybe that wouldnt be the case. I learned through getting my ass handed to me in locals until I ended up studying matchup specifics and making my own tech. Its the same for any other fighting game really, just that its a lot more accesible in SF due to the sheer volume of players, old and new, and the skill gap isnt that big.

Its really the same for all fighting games. Maybe you're just not suited for faster paced fighters. One of the biggest hurdles of link fighter players transitioning to faster chain fighters is that they still treat it as a link fighter when movement, gatlings and system mechanics spell out you shouldnt. Fundamentals are still there: conditioning, spacing, zoning and okizeme. At the end of the day though its the player's ability to adapt that wins games

It really isn't that hard, man. I picked up the series with Xrd without really investing much time into any other fighting game and have been able to progress just fine. I just stuck with Ky, learned the very basics of his neutral pokes and oki so I had the simplest understanding of what to do in a fight, and then focused on learning one thing at a time. The only real way to learn how to use your defensive options is to play against other people anyway.

Sin is a skill tester character. He's only really good if the opponent knows how to play fair and efficiently. Similarly, he's as bad if the player who uses him carelessly chain his specials without any concern for hunger.
