Do you miss alpha Minecraft, /v/?
What was your first big build?
I fucking despise people like you.
"alpha Minecraft"
Hurr durr look at me, i played the game before you did hehehe.
Really. Just shut the fuck up and hang yourself.
>>338135092
you seem bothered
Sadly, I got into Minecraft 1.7.3b aka the last good update
Although it looked so much more alive back then
I wish I experience stuff like making rail boosters with other carts and old lighting...
Why the fuck would anyone miss the alpha of just about any game?
Developers spend huge sums on money and invest heaps of time to develop the game further, and improve it where they can.
Then people like you spout shit about alpha/beta whatever being better because "not as many people played it then, this way I can feel superior like a lowlife scum hipster"

Indev Minecraft was the ultimate experience. A fun unique game, the promise of so much more to come, a small community of mostly mature interconnected people.
Honestly I think Minecraft started going sour shortly after it got a lot of exposure through the TF2 blog. That's when the community snowballed out of control, when a bunch of children started playing, when Notch realized his goals were too ambitious, and when he also realized that he was making far too much money to give a shit about ever realizing them.

"I never played Minecraft/alpha/beta, but let me give you my reddit opinion. Please give me upvotes..."
The game wasn't necessarily better before its full release, but the community was exponentially better.

Minecraft in it's early stages where the only time I bothered to play it.
And I'm not that guy, idiot.
Now can you say ANYTHING else than "umad, u bothered, hehehe, le reddit upvote"
>>338135092
It's definitely a very different experience to post 1.7.3 minecraft
Sorry you missed out on it buddy

Rail boosters were so great
So cheap and effective. If you wanted to traverse distance quickly and efficiently those things were perfect.
I found my first world from ages ago... I want those times back so much. Is that too much to ask for?

Sadly, that feel is gone forever
I don't think it's even possible to experience it again since 4chan itself is too popular and horrible, not even /a/ is safe, no board is safe from underage posters or millennials (that mindset, not particularly 20 year olds)
I also wish we would talk more, so bump
>you will never make a decent indie game, have /v/ love it and slowly make it into a /v/ classic

Alpha was shit, early infdev was the best. Still remember how I was in awe from day/nigh cycle implementation or water physics
>>338135007
god damn I was proud
Im just sad that notch went full lazy jew.
I mean he was always slow to update, even before his vacation days.
But pretty much never finished the rest of the game, "infiniminer meets dwarf fortress" my ass.

From my first server, I really miss those old days
Why did they make world generation so shitty?
>>338137207
1.8 beta
apparently they changed it to be more like 1.7.3 beta and before, but it's not the same
>>338135007
>finally resurface at base after hours of mining
>raining in game
>also actually raining outside
>ywn relive the little things like that
Alpha Minecraft really was something else.
>>338135007
I still play Minecraft. My first big build was a scale rendition of Castle Ravenloft from the original AD&D module.
>>338135007
>try to join some server my friend was playing on a little bit
>fucking territory commands everywhere
>multiple areas you couldn't walk to had to do a tp command
>needed glass
>try to walk and find a desert
>hit a fucking invisible wall
is there any 4chan servers up?
>>338137514
Those never work because they have to be ULTIMATE SURVIVAL PVP NO LIMITS which means only retards will play on them.
A comfy /v/ PVE serb would be nice desu

Where did the time go?
