I got home wanting to check on a Shrimp Fighter thread I had suddenly left, and it wasn't in the archive because according to another Shrimp Fighter thread (which used wrong OP image and so 404'd) got deleted.
I do know it contained webm's of the game in development, since the other thread said so.

Well, that and child porn.
And I can understand why the not complaining rule exists, to avoid "waaaaaaahhh, why aren't you deleting this thing I don't like" but I think the mods and janitors should do their jobs properly and only then get their immunity.
If the /v/ rules were actually enforced, there'd actually be room for threads about obscure but fun games with after poorly designed "muh graphics" titles get knocked down a rung.
Gotta admit though, the tech that the mods use is pretty impressive. I make a slipup on /vg/ and suddenly I'm automatically responsible for a post I made on /v/ under a different IP.

What I've seen wasn't tile based but free motion in a 2d aquarium environment, the webms I saw haven't been posted yet but he showed up some rictor vs johnny stuff, johnny seems melee only while rictor has a ranged attack and both have a block move

It's got every single bad quality I saw when trying out Hotline Miami in the space of 5 seconds.
I'm definitely going to try make my own game, with blackjack and hookers. Probably in 3D WebGL, because I found a neat tutorial which is oriented towards those with Blender experience.
How hard is coding a server?
I've made a shitty IRC client before in computer science, and I'm decent with Java, but servers sound more complex.
