I played the beta and honestly the game isn't a total loss. There are tons of problems like a horrible UI and garbage comedy but there is fun to be had with an FPS MOBA on the the hero/team comp variety alone.
Worst part about it is the price. Paying 60 dollars is far too much for a decent game that is almost totally focused on multiplayer. It would have to be half off before I'd think about it.

I play with 2 friends, Toby who's got my back, and Ambra whom i can rely on healing and fighting with all the time.
He's not at all a solo champ and a fucking bullet magnet.
Do his lore challenges for his legendary weapon ASAP, it slows on his electric punches and completely fucks anything you fight toe to toe with.
His attack speed is insane, couple that with his mounting attack damage for subsequent hits and you'll be destroying even the biggest tanks in a matter of seconds.
His early game is weak, and you'll more than likely have a ton of trouble even laning. Just wait it out, get some good leaps for good kills and hold out as long as you can, by the end game you'll be a fucking killing machine.

When i first started, id id as well. But then i got a reliable friend for the healing, which was dozens of times more efficient.
The mounting damage is much mroe worth it in the end as your own surivability will falter where as your killability will skyrocket.
Like one good leap into a wall stunn will let you get at least 6 punches off and destroy their shields in an instant, on top of the electric fist dot, they'll be almost completely fucked even if they do managed to get away from you.

Been playing since launch. The campaign has a few glitches here and there but the pvp maps have all been solid as fuck.
Every character is fairly balanced with one or two stand out characters PER MAP that have some strengths to them. They already patched some of the stronger combos of champs in the game.

I think that's because Borderland at least has a rather coherent art style. With Battleborn they needed to design a bunch of completely different characters from different "universes" and that's much more complicated.

Story mode is either horde waves while guarding a temporary node (which has health) or it's escort missions (robot escort has health).
At any point of the level the node or escort die, it's immediate failure for the lobby and party is dispersed. Limited number of lives that all characters in the lobby share in a pool.

Ahh they stalled out the content like league of legends and release them simultaneously every month to create a non static game.
Already the mexico map from Over watch was released a couple hours ago to the public.
They also give subtle hints at the coming future heroes in the cover art of the over watch groups like League of Legends does.
Constant balance changes etc, metas and flavor of the months will be developed when competitive mode comes out.
Battleborn will never have a proper matchmaking ranking system due to the size in player base they currently have.
Also since most matchmaking systems use a cheese elo algorithm that balances out every 100 games.

Day of release I decided to watch some streams of battleborn just so i could wrap my head around this thing I was never going to get in the first place because gearbox is on my shitlist after all the shit their management has pulled in the last couple of years.
