Mogenar in Hard(w/e they called hardest difficulty) Mode was the biggest fight of attrition in a Metroid game. Less bullshit than Boost Ball motherfucker despite being in the same ballpark difficulty wise.

I dont understand Metroid Prime final bosses. Most of the regular bosses are usually good to great with some exceptions, but the ball drops hard once you get to the final hurdle.
Core form Prime in 1 was just wait for it to piss on the floor and then blast it, though Spider form was pretty fun. Echoes had almost the exact same thing with waiting for it to give you its weakness. 3 had one with the most variety of attacks and most straightforward kill options so I'll give it that but it still felt like kind of a letdown.
The penultimate fights are always fantastic. Meta Ridley, Emperor Ing and Dark Samus were all amazing.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a great game; and if you have fun with it more then the others, good for you (I have tons of fun with Sa2 despite it being janky as balls) but it HAS aged and by any objective measure it's the worst in the series campaign wise.
So many repeated corridors, and even the segments that are outdoors are too empty and wide open. The last half of the campaign reuses missions from the first half, just with minor changes. It has the smallest weapon and enemy sandbox in the series. It also barely has a story Add that all up and it leads to it being very repetitive and easier to get stale on. It's easily the most flawed halo campaign.
MP wise, CE does gave a lot of strengths: IMO it has the best map design after 2, the sandbox isn't as broken as many of the other games, etc, but it lacks even basic gametype customization, let alone forge.

Spider is pretty intense, and I enjoy it for that, but once you get to the last phase then it falls off since you just have to wait for it to shit Phazon while visor swapping to keep track of it as well as power bombing the Fission spawns. It becomes less of a battle and more of a waiting game.

100%ing BN3 is one of the biggest pains in the ass in the series, albeit not as bad as 4. There was absolutely no reason to use any style other than Custom, and the fact you're forced into Team just to get the fucking V4 boss chips is extremely irritating. Whenever I replay 3, I usually just stop after beating Serenade and don't even bother with the Omega bosses.
Two is horrifically unbalanced, but I did like its postgame more, honestly.

Nah. Top notch atmosphere, great levels with a huge variety of playstyles encompassed by each one (AotCR in particular encompasses every single thing Halo can accomodate), a well built story with zero plot holes aside from Johnson being in two places at once, great weapon sandbox with uses for everything, etc.
I feel like, if you want to talk "objectivity" CE bests the other campaigns in everything but repetition (though I still believe mission design is the best in CE) and enemy variety (though the enemies are still all fun to fight).

It absolutely has a story and a focused plot. Even though it's simple compared to future titles it's still a strong narrative that gives players a reason to be there for each mission.
As for MP, in terms of features it's obviously the most barebones Halo game but in terms of gameplay it's easily the best competitive Halo game. I don't play much competitive MP, but I've seen this argument go over numerous times and the consensus is that no Halo game has reached the balance or skill ceiling of CE.

I will say that for Crash 3 though but I love that game to death so my opinion doesn't matter.

The issue with the original MGS3 is that its core gameplay deteriorates into a boss rush with the second disc, and it's not as if the first half was light on boss battles. The game never has time to let its core mechanics breathe since its level design never feels like it goes beyond the introductory stage.
MG2, GB, and MGS2 all do a much better job with this. And even though I like the gameplay of the series more before MGS3's unbalanced mess came along, MGS3 is a lot better about that too.
