Do the bosses in this game have to much HP or am I out of touch with JRPGs?
I'm not that far into the game, at the sand town, but these boss fights just seem a little repetitive, doing the same back and forth constantly with no real danger of losing. Does it get a little better when I get stronger abilities?
toward end game you can potentially become an unbeatable god doing close to max damage every turn, while never being able to take a single hit from the enemy. The game even gives you a big hint of how to do this near the end of the game in a party chat.
The class and brave systems are way too grossly imbalanced, it never gets hard if you have ever played a jrpg with classes before or just generally aren't retarded.
Even the optional boss team rematch rush and the toughest spotpass bosses are easy to cheese.
So in true hackneyed jrpg fashion, they just upped the HP. Although most still don't take long to beat once you're really powerful.

The beginner areas are weirdly unbalanced since you don't have many classes, but it gets better. Midway is where all the best fights are, and by the end you can destroy everyone (assuming you just look up guides for best classes). Just have fun with it and don't attempt to break the combat.

Not really. I personally had fun trying to beat the side quests, although not as much as I would have if they were new enemies each time. Really, that one part can be done in at most an hour if you don't want to do the side quests.

Make someone a spiritmaster. Give everyone except the spiritmaster hermes shoes, give the spiritmaster the lower tier of that equipment which I believe was hermes sandals. Make everyone brave the fuck out of the enemy on that turn except the spiritmaster who will ONLY use stillness. Everyone acts before the enemy even the spiritmaster, but the spiritmaster acts last amongst your party. Do massive damage, stillness, recover brave points for two turns while taking NO damage, repeat.

Try not to spoil the story. If you have already, you've lost half the fun of the game. Also, it's really easy to accidentally overlevel.

Anyone know their max damage output with Bravely Second? I got up to 150k with a Guardian in bloody wolf stance in possession using Soul Cannon with Noble Eagle and Overlord.

And there's nothing "necessary" or "unnecessary" about liking or disliking something.

It's not like he completely changes, but it adds new layers to his character. His whole story was pretty interesting.
