I did notice that during a beta participated by 9.7 million people that I had no instances of lag, and I never felt unjustified in hitting a target that I obviously hit.

I've found that there isn't much difference overall. For example, in TF2 the high tickrate is negated by the shitty netcode, and the "I did this thing on my screen but it didn't register on your screen!" problem happens just as much. In Overwatch, the tickrate is shitty and often makes you die around corners etc, but the netcode is incredible. There is almost no lag whatsoever regardless of how third world your internet is.

No. Autoaim is like on consoles where you have your aim sticking on the head or going toward the characters. There is no auto aim on Overwatch on PC.

I think an enormous part of this game's failure is how visually unremarkable it looks. "Dude who kind of looks like a mushroom" doesn't carry the same general aesthetic appeal as say, Tracer, Widowmaker or Winston

Honestly with how fast some of the characters move around (specifically soldier with his sprint), it wouldn't be fun to have extremely accurate projectile collision and miss 90% of shots due to faulty leading or bad estimation of travel time, especially when you're competing with tons of hitscan weapons. Call me a casual, but we'd see very little use out of characters with projectile weapons if there wasn't some degree of leniency.
