Well the Japanese website for the new Pokemon game(s) accidentally released Pokemon Types in their files attached to each Starter. Now it's not entirely accurate in the sense of which type is which but as of right now their Second or Third Evolution's are going to be Grass/Earth, Fire, Water/Fighting

No it didn't, Trapinch goes from pure Ground type to Ground/Dragon when it evolves, it doesn't change from Ground to Flying. There's no precedent for that so far in Pokémon and it would drastically change its type matchups if it did

The speculated typings were Grass/Flying, Ground/Fire, Water/Fighting because of the order they were in on the site, these types being 1-6 respectively (I think), but regardless it means nothing. They may have just dumped them all in on the site in any order.

How? The fire starter would get the worst of all, the grass one would become neutral to fire, or is able to dish out super effective STAB attacks on the fire starter, and the water one gets to rek the fire just as much.

If anyone is interested in the leaks, this video sort of explains it, not well enough though.
Basically Each Starter on the website is listed as a number in the file images.
Owl = 1
Cat = 2
Sealion = 3
Attached to their starter types of Grass, Fire, Water. Then you get the numbers 4, 5, 6 and these numbers are under each of the first numbers 1-4, 2-5, 3-6. 4, 5, and 6 are Ground, Fire, and Fighting

On the first day those images were released, /vp/ reverse image searched them and they came from an account on DA.
if you take the physic/spe/agi pattern of the last 2 gen, we are mor or less certains that
grass will be spe oriented. (probably more of a spe wall than spe sweep though)
fire will be agi oriented (aka shitmon)
water will be physical oriented(aka another bulky water type that while not original will get its niche as long as its signature move and secret ability aren't shit)

Holy shit, that clown seal is so fucking awful it hurts. If this is real, then we have a new all-time worst final form starter, by a country mile, and easily one of the all-time worst Pokémon designs period.
Between the not-shit designs, firecat is alright, although surprisingly vanilla for a starter. Owl the Edge takes this one quite easily. That's the only one I sincerely hope is real. What a thing it would be, for one gen to have the all-time worst final form starter design, and also one of the all-time best. I'd love to have that bird in my party, yet it'd be so weird to not be torn on who I want as my starter for once. Usually a tough choice to make, but this one wouldn't even be a choice. Might as well not even have the other two exist, just give you Rowlet at the beginning and move on

In terms of artstyle, these are really solid. There's little in terms of fluff, very little random extraneous details that make the design extremely crowded, and a solid evolution in color choices for the Owl the Edge and Rape the Clown. I'd easily pick the artist for these to draw the new pokemon over the ones currently making pokemon.
In terms of actual design, it's a bit more mixed.

This is actually a good logical direction for an owl pokemon (since owl's are essentially nature's assassins), but the extreme change to human form is pretty jarring and not really reflective of the animal it's based on, with it's lack of leafs and feathers utilized in the design - it didn't pull off what Greninja only just barely did itself.

Surprisingly, this is actually pretty damn good - waaaaaay too understated to be a modern pokemon, but it would fit in really well with gen 1 or 2 pokemon. I mean, it's pretty much right between Ponyta and Persian - it really would work well.
>Rape-a-Bitch 9000
Solid design. Actually really good. The ball it originally played with has changed to a weapon, the fins have slowly changed into proper hands with claws, the red is reflective both of the circus theme and complements the blue/white really well. It's basically become more menacing and threatening, which is what the evolutions for a game about monsters in your pocket should do. The main problem is it's face which has become a little too human with the wide smile, small eyes, and human proportions - it just starts to make it unnerving (which is still fine, but not in a pokemon game).
