The whole fucking soundtrack, really? Can you be a bit more specific with what song is comfy.
>>338025402
I was just flirting with the idea of starting this series again.
The third is so fucking disappointing though.
>>338030421
Not him but Vigil is probably the best fucking Sci Fi track in both vidya and movies.

>Just started ME1 again recently
>Get about half way through
>Suddenly start remembering how fucking downhill everything from here is, not just in the game but the whole series
>Finish the mission on Virmire
>Sacrifice AshleySacrificed Kaiden my first run
>Quit immediately because I know there's nothing good laying ahead for me
Why /v/? Why did it have to be like this?
>>338030643
Did that over the winter.
ME1 was comfy
ME2 was fun
ME3 was in the garbage a week after I bought it. There was no need to carry on at that point anyway, I was satisfied.

Saren. Why are you so upset?

Is there anything worse than seeing a series with magnificent potential die at the hand of its own creators? Not that Mass Effect 3 had the same creators anyway

I take it I shouldn't then.
>>338031185
You could always just do ME1 with the texture mod.
>>338031185
Play Mass Effect 1, then play the first prologue of 2 on the Normandy and pretend that it's the epilogue of Mass Effect 1, and Shephard died a hero.
The End.

>mfw playing the beginning of ME2 for the first time
I don't know if I've ever been so excited in my gaming life.
2 actually didn't even let me down as a whole, I can get over the casualized gameplay of the sequels, it's how horrendous 3's conclusion to the story is that kills me.
>>338031462
Agreed, ME2 has some great replayability on the higher difficulties iirc
Does anyone have a slither of hope for Mass Effect Andromeda?
>Mass Effect came out nine years ago
>>338031708
Maybe the gameplay could be good, but I have zero faith in Bioware writing staff after inquisition or ME3.
>>338031708
ha ha
no
>>338031708
I enjoyed ME3's multiplayer, so if that returns, I'll be happy.
As for the story, I have some hope that the clean slate and smaller scope (by which I mean you are not up against an impossible enemy and have to save the entire galaxy) might make it a better, tighter package.
>>338031708
I guess I really am just stupid (I mean the idea that I would entirely enjoy something while the vast majority dislikes it would prove that theory) but I liked Mass Effect 3 and I liked Dragon Age Inquisition (hell to an extent I even liked DA: 2, not as much as origins mind you, but I still thought it was good).
I think Andromeda has tons of potential, just depends on how it's handled, I mean it's a spin off in all honesty, but I'll have to wait till I see some actual gameplay and news on it before I condemn it.
>>338035426
I'm hoping they go back to the ME1 formula as ME1 was my favorite.
FUCK YOU OP.
You just make me remember this.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
>>338036636
The ME1 feel would be fitting as the game should be more about exploring the unknown rather than fighting a specific, imminent threat.
>>338031708
I have hope for catastrophically bad animations and art.
>>338036802
Agreed, I'm sure that is what in time it will divulge into, I'm more curious on how many races will make a return to what magnitude. I mean it seems like that whole "Ark Theory" is all but confirmed and if that's the case it seems like Humans are the main ones leading the expedition, so there probably won't be a huge number of Salarians, Asari, or Turians, and a few, very few Krogan.
Yahg, Batarians (most likely), and maybe a few others are scrapped. I doubt they give the chop to Hanar, Elcor, or Volus as they are just to prominent in the lore.
Though I could be wrong, it seems like Andromeda main goal is to push itself as far away from the original Mass Effect as possible in terms of story, but to keep the atmosphere, world building, and more emphasis on unknown and building bonds with characters.
This game had some seriously comfy music.

>the game should be more about exploring the unknown rather than fighting a specific, imminent threat.
Lol, get ready to fight the Not-Reapers that get introduced within the first hour of the game but not like how it was done in ME1.
>>338037308
>Not-reapers
Please, it will just be the Reapers again. Surprise! They were colonizing other galaxies too!
>>338037186
As much as it would suck, I am full prepared for humans to be the only returning race.
>>338037562
>Big bads are Reapers again
>Everybody freaking out cause gotta build them up as a threat again
>Near the end of the game more ships from the Milky Way show up
>All lead by Commander Sue
>Every Andromeda game afterwards is more Commander Sue wanking

life is strange santa monica dream track :)

I mean it's not like you can just take an ass load of every species, there simply wouldn't be enough resources for that. Plus from a developer standpoint, less things to have to animate and more time to put into creating new things.
Don't get me wrong I love the original series with all my heart, it's my favorite series of all time, but I'm completely fine with Andromeda ditching the old world for a new one, I even kinda want it because at the end of the day Andromeda will never be ME 1,2, or 3 they should aim to create their own works and not hinge themselves on the successes or failures of the past.
